Rainy Day Revival, Eastern Atlanta, GA

Atlanta continues to impress me. The more I visit this city, the more it reminds me of what NYC used to be. The visit was short this time as I was in for just one tiny store.

Since parking in any city is always a problem, I had to park a few blocks away and hoof it to the destination. The area is obviously taken over by creative types. There is graffiti art all around and live music in the street.

I was a bit pressed for time, so I didn’t have a chance to explore every single mural, the sheer quantity, quality, attention to detail, and variety of styles were absolutely fantastic.

One special goes out to you Java developers out there… and no, there were no devs inside.

The place I was after is called Rainy Day Revival, and just like some other ones, it is your regular mixture of novelty store, sex shop, and creepy stuff your ex was into.

The person managing the store was kind enough to allow me to take pictures (and I always ask for permission), so I caught a few interesting ones. The only two pictures I didn’t take were one of the storefront and one of the plastic doll with size GG gazungas greeting the shoppers.

Whether you’re into art or science, Rainy Day got you covered.

The selection isn’t great, but there are some options available.

Some dead stuff, apparently, spilled over to the outside.

If it weren’t for weed shops being every other vendor in the street, it would have definitely brought back SoHo vibes from the 90s. Overall, I felt like I needed another hour to browse around, but I had to maintain the timeline.

I write stuff. I take pictures. I don't sleep enough.
